Rami Gabriel is Associate Professor Emeritus of Psychology and currently a Visiting Fellow at the Aarhus Institute for Advanced Studies in Aarhus University, Denmark. Explore the research of Rami Gabriel, Ph.D., focusing on affective neuroscience, the evolution of the mind, and the psychological roots of culture and identity. Trained as a cognitive and perceptual scientist, he has written on memory, self, emotion, prosopagnosia, consciousness, affective neuroscience and the philosophy of cognitive science. His research has led to publishing three books, A Suspicious Science: The Uses of Psychology, The Emotional Mind: The Affective Roots of Culture and Cognition (co-authored with Dr. Stephen T. Asma), and Why I Buy: Self, Taste, and Consumer Society in America.
